It has been great out on the water this week, warm tematures, beautiful water and an abundance of good fishing. We have been catching Snook, Trout and Tarpon.
The Snook fishing has been good on an outgoing tide in the afternoon. Fish outside islands with live Pilchards or a Savage Gear Glide Swimmer. We have been catching Snook up to 38" this week with lots of fish in the 24" to 26" range.
The Trout has been good early morning in the passes. I like to drift bouncing a jig off the bottom tipped with shrimp. Use bright colored jigs such as Chartreuse and bright pink. We have been catching big fish in the passes from slot to over slot fish.
The Tarpon bite has been good this past week with plenty of hookups in 100+ pound class fish. We have been catching migrating fish off the beaches using crabs and Threadfins. We are finding Sharks mixed in with them which makes for some really exciting fishing.
