Fishing Report 07-15-16

Fishing Report 07-15-16

July 15, 2016 by

There are plenty of Snook to be found on the beaches, passes and reefs.  These warm summer days are some of the best fishing on the water all year especially for Snook.  We have been catching serveral Snook per trip during the past serveral weeks.  Lots of short ones in the 20" to 24" range along with some larger ones in the 30" to 40" range.  Look for crusin Snook along the shorelines early morning or evening.  Cast live shrimp in front of the fish or use a Savage Gear TPE Shrimp.  In the passes fish early morning with live Threadfins or topwater plug like a Savage Gear Panic Prey.  Offshore on the reefs you will find some of the largest Snook around.  These fish will be in the 32" to 40" plus.  The trick is getting these Snook out of the reefs and to the boat before a Shark or Golith Grouper eat them.  Book a trip and take advantage of this great time of year to catch your trophy Snook.
